You will need the following materials for class each day:
* Instrument (cellos and basses are available for school use if one is provided for home practice)
* Essential Elements 2000 for your instrument by Allen, Gillespie, and Hayes.
6th Grade- Books 1 & 2
GMS Intermediate- Book 2
GMS Advanced- Books 2 & 3(Essential Technique 2000, Book 3)
Glynn Academy - Advanced Technique for Strings (Gold Book)
* Three Ring Binder to hold any sheet music or forms given out by the director and includes loose leaf paper and dividers provided by the student.
* Pencil (pens are not acceptable)
* Rosin
* Accessories: shoulder pad (Kun or Wolfe) for violins and violas
rockstop for cellos and basses
* Soft Cloth for wiping off the instrument.
You will need a music stand for home use and use at other special events. A small metronome and tuner are recommended, but not required.
