The John Cordell Scholarship was established in Memory of Mr. John Cordell.
The purpose of the scholarship is to provide a graduating Glynn Academy Band member(s) with a scholarship to assist in reducing the expense of obtaining a college education. All winners are announced at the Awards Ceremony held in May.
Throughout the year, various fundraising activities are held, 10% of all profits go to the scholarship fund. Poinsettias are also sold during the Christmas season with 100% of those proceeds going to the scholarship.
